Day 11

I have made it to day 11 on my fast.  I stopped the water only over the weekend and ate some Kale and protein.  I was feeling a little woozy.

The exercise routine has deferred from walking to swimming in our unbelievably hot Texas summer.  I am not a swimmer, but anyone can tread water or do leg exercises in the pool.  I am excited because my skin is looking smoother and my stamina is increasing in spite of the fast.

I hope y'all are progressing in your plan.  Just remember that some is better than none.

I keep thinking of Jesus walking from town to town in the heat and with no creature comforts.  We can do this thing!!!

Just get down! Do ten sit ups!  Right now!  You will be glad you did!

Day Three! Fasting Connection

annamarie | Fasting Connection

Day three!

I am really enjoying this fast so far. My husband is encouraging me to call others to a fast for the nation. I don't know, this one, for me, is more about my health, but I am wondering about it.

It is always to good to press in to God during a fast. So I am praying about it. I may do some vlogging about it.

Blessings, and click the link if you want to read about how it went today. :)) This kind of blogging seems a little narcissistic!

Day One! | Fasting Connection

I am commencing on a fast. I will be blogging about it on fastingconnection.com.

I have also committed to train for another marathon. Starting slow...just walking at this point, but I have friend who is joining me, so this will be fun! We will be doing our long walks/runs together. Blessings.
PS the above website has lots of good info about fasting, but is not a Christian view. I am not converting to new age :))

Summer-time Blues!

Oh to be relaxing in cool Montana!
Several friends have asked if I am going to continue this blog. I want to, but it needs a new title.  Any suggestions?  A new contest!  Leave your suggestion in the comment section. The winner will get a bracelet!

I need fresh inspiration for this health challenge.  I think I have the "summer-time blues."  I do not do well in the intense heat of summer.  Today, I am going to meet my good friend KK and we are going to swim at Deep Eddy.  This is a spring-fed swimming pool in Austin, TX.  The water is COOLLLLDDDD!  I hope to swim until my lips turn blue!  KK is a true swimmer.  I am more of a dog-paddler.  Hey, it all works!

After, we are going to go see the movie, The Help.  I highly recommend it!  Jack and I went to see it yesterday!  We both cried our eyes out and laughed our heads off, to coin a couple of new phrases! I had read the book and the movie stays very true to it.

Jack's mother grew up in Mississippi and even though she was not there during the civil rights era, her stories were so similar to these.  She was raised by the precious black women in her town.  As an orphan, her white relatives had looked upon her as a burden to be shared, but it was the help who loved and nurtured her.

Go see it!  It has got to win several Academy Awards!!!  As part of your health challenge: Eat lots of popcorn!  It'll clean out your colon! :)

Blessings, Anna Marie
